International Barges Co. for Water Desalination (the Bowarege IWP): In order to devise a rapidly deployable, self-contained solution for water desalination, two barges were commissioned and fitted with reverse osmosis desalination plants, power generators and living quarters. The barges will anchor off Shuaibah water and power plant to augment the latter’s desalinated water output.
